Practice Emphasis:

Peggy’s practice is devoted to the areas of health care compliance law, elder law, estate planning and administration.  She is also an accredited attorney by the Veterans Affairs enabling her legally to counsel veterans and their families on compensation and pension benefits for qualifying wartime veterans.

Before joining Beers Mallers Backs & Salin, Ms. Bodin was a medical social worker. Over her ten year career in health care she specialized in gerontology, critical care, end of life care, and regulatory compliance in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care and hospice agencies. She also served on the Clinical Ethics Committee for Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan. From 2005 to 2007 Ms. Bodin served as Director of Social Services for Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. During law school Ms. Bodin worked in the Office of Corporate Compliance at Rush University and Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Ms. Bodin has a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from Madonna University, a Master of Social Work with a Specialist in Aging certificate from the University of Michigan School of Social Work and a Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University, with a concentration in elder law and health care law. She was awarded the Corpus Juris Secundum for her significant overall contribution to the Valparaiso School of Law.
